Since our founding as AME Corporation in 1977 in Little Falls, New Jersey by Edward A. Dimitry, Panova has become a leader in the custom rubber molding industry.
Through Ed’s experience in tool and die design, extensive knowledge of elastomers and engineering expertise, the foundation was laid for Panova to become the premier custom rubber products manufacturer. Clients from a variety of industries, and even competitors, turn to us to realize their complex custom rubber projects. Many of these products required rubber to be bonded to metal and other substrates. Through our efforts, we are a leader in rubber-to-substrate bonding and the go-to company for hard-to-manufacture products.
Building on our strength in rubber-to-substrate bonding, we launched two standard product lines in the early 1980s, switch seals and boots and self-sealing washers, fueling significant growth. Around this same time we began to partner with offshore manufacturers to supplement our in-house manufacturing capabilities. In 1985, we opened our new world headquarters in Towaco, New Jersey.
In 2011, we opened our first fully independent location in Shanghai, China to consolidate staff in a location central to our Asian supply chain. The team members in this location manage Procurement, Logistics and Quality Control. In addition, the Shanghai Team has their own quality assurance and engineering staff that work daily with their counterparts at headquarters to ensure seamless operations for the benefit of our clients.
Ed’s strong sense of family and desire to provide company employees with great opportunities were traits admired by many. Ed’s youngest son, Ehren A. Dimitry, leads the company today as President and CEO incorporating these same traditions and values.
In 2016, Ehren Dimitry announced AME Corporation will be now known as Panova. The new name reflects the company’s global presence and will facilitate the expansion of engineering services into design and product development. Today, Panova continues to grow and thrive in challenging economic times. Dimitry credits its growth to providing tangible value to clients. “Panova is solving real problems that our clients have,” said Ehren. “We do this by building meaningful relationships and teaming up with each client in unique ways to find them the right solution. We continue to expand our capabilities to meet our clients’ needs.”
