Understanding the issue for the client I presented an option that cut the production timelines to a quarter of what they were doing.
Why did you take this approach?
I asked several questions to understand the issues the client faced and the potential issues that cascade from late deliveries. This allowed me to understand the impact of this part in the manufacturing process.
How did you coordinate / partner with the client to solve the problem?
After our initial conversation we traded emails with questions regarding the part to make sure any outstanding issues were resolved.

We reduced production time of this part down to 25% of what it previously was. The improved delivery time allows our client more flexibility in keeping inventory resulting in improved cashflow and removes the potential for a line down situation resulting in reduced inventory.
